Roger Picard

Adrien "Roger" Picard (born January 13, 1935 in Montreal, Quebec) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played 15 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the St. Louis Blues.

Following his post hockey career. Along with his brother Noel in partnership with retired farmer and former town/village mayor Donat Chausee of Saint Jean de Matha. They as a full partnership founded an equestrian academy; while they provided the expertise in equestrian skills, mr Chausee provided the lands of his [resting] farm, as to provide a safe and controlled environment for lovers of horse ridding. In addition,the Picard brothers would provide winter quarters for the horses. What is worth noting, is that most of the horses were rescued from being sent to the [factory] slaughter, being that they were racing horses from Trotter to Ambler to pure bred. The breeds were from the Pinto/quarter horse to the English thoroughbred. As well they used their cumulative knowledge to hold Hockey schools in various areas of Montreal, with special attention to the underprivileged sections of the Montreal urban community.
